We recently finished this project where we added a dormer to the home ... I would make windows lighter color like the inspiration picture. As someone else mentioned, think ahead and consider having separate bathrooms for the girls, especially if you want a home to live in for many years. As they grow and bring their own families home, they’ll want & need more privacy. The rendering of the first one looks like plywood to me so i am struggling to see that one.
I am very happy with the work that Element Home Remodeling did for me on my old bathroom. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others. Always double-check with your city zoning regulations and codes to be sure that you can add the addition of your dreams before you start. This decision should be made early in the design process, since the location of the interior partition walls on the second story must be coordinated with the window locations . In addition, the window style and sizes should be matched as closely as possible to the existing home. I know I don’t need to share this, but I feel prompted to share this part of our story, and will maybe go more in depth on it. All the additions were something we had budgeted for and kept in mind while looking for a fixer-upper.

Ben and his crew were on time, detailed, and professional. They handled all the permits and inspections and made sure the job was done right. The quality of the work is top notch, and I would absolutely hire them again and recommend them to everyone I know.
The architecture still kept the original structure and detailing of the house. It includes the stair that only looks cleaner because of the new white paint. It gets even more exciting because the final result of the addition gave a more modern impression to the home design overall. It is quite a common choice taken by growing families. The idea is to add one or more sleeping areas to accommodate all the family members or the guests who visit.
This home is really close to the mountains, we want it to still have a mountain home vibe, but also have our personal style which is an eclectic, playful look. We hired Element Home Remodeling for a living room and kitchen remodel. Luckily for me it was just before the closure came into effect, but it was touch and... Certain towns and cities have possible height restrictions. Also some subdivisions and co-op's further restrict changes to exteriors of homes. Also consider neighbor's views and obstructions that could be done when adding a second level. That is where consultation with City Wide Carpentry is so important. Maybe, paint the addition in a dark color like mentioned. So what do you do when you've outgrown your house but you love your location and your lot is too small to build on an addition?
I think without more windows the end result might not be what you hoped. I had been putting off my home remodeling project for quite a while and finally decided that it was time to get it done. Just a little over a year ago we started a full home remodeling project with a different remodeling contractor.
